JOSHUA DAVID WHITE

Ok, so everyone officially knows now! It was so fun and all the Grandma's cried. :)

Here's the video David made of the big reveal. :)

(There's a better view of Claire and Gram but it's on the video camera, not the digital camera and we can't edit it until we get home)

It was fun keeping the secret and thanks to everyone who knew and didn't tell!! :) It's so fun to say he and him now. And shopping is tons more fun!!

Here's a quick pic of the stockings at Claire's. See Joshua's little stocking?! So cute!

Merry Christmas everybody!!

Crud

Update on the passing around of the Crud:

Dad's had it, Mom's had it, Matt has it, Kate has it.

Please pray the rest of us are spared!

Not much longer!

Hey everybody,

You don't have much longer to wait for us to post the sex of the baby. We told my parents last week. It was great. They were pleased and mom cried (just broke down and cried!). We videoed it, David is editing it (nerd alert!) and we'll post it after we tell Claire tomorrow night. I can't wait!!!

We had a good visit in Gasburg. It's still a little weird going to dad and mom's new house. 23 years of one house is a hard habit to break. :) But it's starting to feel like "home" and is cozy. The boys and their wifeys were there. Matt was working 2-10 and Robert worked Saturday night. He came in Sunday morning. We were all there for church Sunday. It's so cool to see all of us sitting together. I'm a little sappy about my family and LOVE it when we're all there.

Dad was sick until Sunday. We thought it was food poisoning from eating at Pino's. But it was over in 48 hours and Megan called me last night to say mom had it now. We're all praying the rest of us don't get it.

We got home about 10:30 last night. I slept in and did laundry so we can re-pack and head to Yorktown tomorrow when I get off work. I got my hair cut today! I've been wanting to cut it but wasn't sure if it was just the hormones talking. :) I got just a few inches off the bottom and evened out the layers a bit. I'm pleased with it.

Baby has been moving more and more. Well, it's probably moving the same amount but I can feel it more. It was a little slow yesterday until I got in bed. Then it moved like crazy!!! It was so neat. I love feeling it move around. Other people can feel it from the outside now. David gets so excited when he feels it. and I had mom running around the house to come feel it before the baby stopped last week. :) I've finally graduated to maternity pants. I should have done it a few weeks ago! They're so comfy!! I went to the motherhood store in Rocky Mount on the way to Gasburg Wed. and got a pair of black pants and a pair of jeans. They aren't long lengths so the jeans are a little short, but they'll do until I can order some long lengths online. NOBODY carries talls in the store!!! I guess only petite women get pregnant and need new pants. :) It's a conspiracy.

I'm off to re-pack and get everything ready for the trip to Yorktown. Have a great Christmas!!

Baby White @ 17 weeks!

Today was AMAZING!!! We had an ultrasound to see Baby and even found out the sex! (I'm not posting if it's a boy or girl on-line yet b/c we have a special surprise planned for our parents at Christmas and they'll read this before then!) It was so neat. Everything was perfect. Perfect brain, perfect heart, perfect diaphragm, everything! It's kinda funny, but I never worried about if there would be any defects or abnormalities. I guess I just believed that everything would be the way it should be. I never thought about that until we started looking at everything to make sure it was alright.

Baby was very fiesty and a little uncooperative at times. :) It didn't like being messed with and was kicking and moving A LOT!! So cool to watch. It did a head stand most of the time and had its chin all the way on its chest. It was in some very uncomfortable-looking positions.

Here are some pictures (but not the money shot!).

Baby's feet!

Profile shot! :)

This is Baby's face looking right at you in the center bottom of the screen. The top of the head is on the right side. Looks like a skeleton face.

Here's another profile. Baby kept moving its mouth during the ultrasound. See its eyes, nose and mouth?!

Any ideas?!

So we have our ultrasound appointment tomorrow to see the baby! And hopefully, if he/she isn't shy we'll get to see if it's a boy or girl! I'll definately post pictures when I get home but won't post the money shot. :) (We have a special surprise for our parents and don't want to tell them until Christmas.)

Any ideas as to which it will be?! Amanda Avery (and Molly!) say it's a girl. I'm kind of leaning towards feeling like it's a girl and David has decided there's no way it could possibly be a boy. :)

We'll see in about 13 hours!

Final Update

DAVID GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!

It's officially official! He had a meeting at 8 am with his new supervisor and they offered him the position! He couldn't negotiate the pay (so he's still making the same as he was before) but he does get a company vehicle! He'll have the same benefits, etc. His start date is November 17th! He's very excited! So am I! :) (and I know Emelie will be too! haha)

Thank everyone so much for your prayers! God has blessed our family so much this year. My parents are getting ready to move into their dream house, both of my brothers have found wonderful Godly women to serve the Lord with, the boys have their dream jobs, Kate just got a new (and better!) job, we were blessed with a little one, everyone's healthy and able. GOD IS SO GOOD!

Listen to our Baby!!

We had our 12 week check-up today. Everything is looking and SOUNDING good! :) Here's the video of our baby's heartbeat for the grandmas! :) The heart rate was in the 160s!

(Please ignore my ugly belly and that silly grin on my face!)

We don't go back until Dec 8th. They'll do a few test then and an ultrasound. We'll be able to find out what it is then. But don't get too excited. We won't be telling anyone what is it until Christmas. Claire has already pouted about it but everyone will have to deal. We had wanted to wait to tell everyone we were preggers but since we had to have IUI, everyone knew right away. So for this, you'll have to wait. Plus, it goes with the presents we're getting everyone. haha

Update on David's job thing: He has a meeting w/the supervisor tomorrow morning. Keep praying! :)

The saga continues.....

Alrighty, here's the latest development in David's job situation. He got an e-mail today from his would-be supervisor asking if he was still interested in the position he has applied and interviewed 3 times for. David said "of course!" After having technical issues over the weekend, and not having anyone to fix them, they've opened the position back up. They've made some changes to the job. They changed the name & made it hourly instead of salary but they're still offering a company vehicle. The super said he'd let David know something soon. (here we go again!) :)

So, I'm commissioning everyone who reads this to PRAY! and tell everyone else to pray! :)

Also, go vote tomorrow!

We're off to hear our baby's heart beat! *squeal!*

The Latest

David got a letter about the job. The position has been eliminated. Yea, that stinks. It took them a month to let all the applicants know which is really unprofessional. The letter said they hoped to reopen the position after the first of the year. I guess the economic troubles are affecting everyone.

About a year ago I signed up for a survey thing online. I've gotten several magazine subscriptions free (Hallmark, TV Guide) just for completing short surveys. You get "money" for completeing surveys and can cash the money in for rewards. Today I got a $25 gift card for American Eagle! Yay for a new bag! :) Oh, the survey site is called e-rewards.

David's 10 year high school class reunion is this Saturday. We're leaving tomorrow after he gets off work to head to his mom's. I've been looking forward to visitng with her for a few months now. I'm charging the batteries for my camera so I'll be able to take pictures of the reunion festivities. haha We'll see how all that goes.

We're going to hear the baby's heart beat on Monday. I can't wait! We've waited so long to have a baby and we're finally ready to do this! :)

Ok, I'm getting off of here and getting some laundry done. I need to put all the clean laundry away so I can have baskets to haul the dirty clothes back and forth! I'm tired just thinking about it.

Have a great weekend!

Roast Beast

So, Lesley has decided that I need to work every wednesday for the next few weeks. I don't agree since wed. is my busiest day. I have class at 9, 10, lab at 12 (for 3 hours!) and then work from 5-9:30. I know that doesn't look really busy, but I'm growing a human here and am EXHAUSTED!!! :) Anyway....to try to make things easier today, I got a roast from Kroger last night. It's actually a Pork Roast KIT! Tyson makes it and it was soooo easy to make. It has a 2 lb pork roast, red potatoes, baby carrots, white onions and celery (already cut up!) and a seasoning packet (which you can omit if you'd like to make it barbecue flavored or something. I added it and it was delicious! It cooked allllll day in the crock pot and smelled so good! I'm not sure how much it would cost to buy a roast and all the fixings by themselves but this kit was $11.99 and I think it was worth it. We have veggies left over (which would be good in soup!) and roast enough for a few sandwiches, which will be lunch tomorrow. I'm very excited. :)

I got the new Kenny CD. I'm in love! I like him more and more every day! And yes, my sweet husband already knows about my obsession! haha

Not much new in baby news. We're 9 weeks along. Still waiting for the dr. visit on the 3rd. I'm so anxious to hear the heartbeat! I did go visit with Dad and Mom over fall break and got some good stuff from Ashley. I know we have a loooong way to go but it feels good to get some things out of the way. Thanks Ashley!! :)

I guess that's it for now. We're planning on going to the State Fair on the 25th! Even if my crazy family can't decide if they can get together.....we're going! I can't ride any rides b/c I'm preggers. Mom said I could hold everybody's stuff and watch them ride w/her (she gets queasy on rides) and I told her I would stand w/her and EAT! :) haha I've already decided on a menu!

Saturday, October 4, 2008

David got an e-mail yesterday from his potential supervisor and said that they had come up on a "snag" and it would be another 2 weeks before a decision was made. So, we wait some more....

Other than that, we're doing well. Baby is good. I felt a little sick yesterday but willed myself not to puke and went to class. I did scope out the nearest bathroom though. :) The only craving I've had so far is popsicles. Yum! It was all I could think about the other night.

I've had a crazy week and I'm exhausted. I have to work again today but am getting off at 2:30. We have the volunteer appreciation dinner at church tonight at 6 and all I plan to do in between is SLEEP! :) And I'm looking at a bedtime of 9 or so. I stayed up waaayyyy to late last night and didn't sleep well. I haven't been sleeping well all week. Lots of tossing and turning. I've not been using earplugs (to muffle the snores from Mr. White) so I'll be used to it by the time the baby comes and that means when David has a good snore, it wakes me up. I nudge him and he quits and I try to go back to sleep before he does. He's one of those that can lay down and be asleep in seconds. I just lay there and lay there. So frustrating! Sometimes I want to send him to the couch but then I feel bad for hogging the bed. He works hard all day and deserves a comfy rest too. Maybe I'll pray for divine intervention and God will stop all snoring!! :) HA!

Alrighty, off to work. By the way, we're having our ornament premiere next weekend! Everybody come buy an ornament (or seven!) :)

Another Interview

David has another interview at 3 on Monday. We're hoping this will be the last one before they hire him! :)

Thanks for your prayers!

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Well, the Hand Clan is officially complete! Robert & Kate are in Honduras celebrating their honeymoon and the rest of the of us are back home trying to recover from the wedding! :) It was a wonderful wedding (the whole weekend was great) but we were all very busy the whole time. I didn't get one nap the whole weekend!!! Can you imagine?! That's ok, it was worth it. I didn't take pictures of the wedding (or any of the brunches/luncheons/dinners) but I did take some of a few members of our big family in the hotel room.

Here are Megan, David, Chris, Tiffy & Uncle Doug watching Bon Qui Qui on YouTube (who my cousin Emily can imitate EXACTLY).
Here's David & Mom ironing the overlays for the tables @ the rehearsal dinner.

David & I went to our first official baby visit this past Monday. He was a little sad that his nametag said "Visitor" and not "Daddy". He pouted and took it off. :) He was very patient with all the waiting we had to do. It took about 2 hours to get out of there and I was starting to get antsy. We saw a midwife and she said everything looked great. Now we have to wait 6 weeks to go back and hear the heartbeat. It feels like a long time from now....but not as far away as May!
The Myers and Andersons are coming over for dinner tomorrow evening. I'm making my mom-in-law's Stroganoff (yum!) and I can't wait! Exie tried to stop me from cooking (since it will be my birthday dinner) and I told her that that's what I wanted for my birthday dinner so hush and let me make it! :) She finally conceded and agreed to bring drinks. haha.
I'm going to go find a snack before work. I'm glad this day is almost over. It's the longest day of the week for me and I'm exhausted by bedtime.

5 weeks!

We're officially @ the 5 week mark. I'm still feeling great. No sickness (yet!) and the only things that really turn my stomach are raw meat (mostly steak and ground beef) and ketchup. My brain has left my body and my poor husband thinks I'm going crazy. He just makes the strangest faces at me! So far, everything is going really well. :) Our first official doctor's appointment is next Monday (the 22nd). We'll be seeing a midwife. I haven't decided if we should see them the whole time or just see the Dr. I'm leaning toward just seeing the midwife but don't know much about all that business. What do you think?

David went to his second interview today. He said it went really well and they told him they'd let him know something soon. They have to go through the la-ti-da and interview everybody who applied. Some of them are not already working for the company and David was told that they probably wouldn't hire someone from outside the company. I'm so anxious for David to find out. Hopefully he'll hear something next week.

We're leaving for Statesville after my 12:30 class on Thursday. We'll be super busy with all of Robert & Kate's wedding festivities. I hope I have enough nice dresses (that fit!) for all the luncheons and brunches. I can't believe my little brothers are all grown up and married! They make me feel old. :) I'm VERY proud of both of them and all they've accomplished this past year. Ok, I have to quit now before I cry on the keyboard and it shorts out.

I'm going to go find something healthy to eat for dinner. Becky, I'm ready for that menu anytime! ;) haha

Baby scare

I have been having some cramping the past few days which I know is normal but I've also been having a very sharp pain very low on the left side of my pelvis. I was worried that this might be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy and didn't want to worry about it for 2 weeks until my doctor's appointment so I called and they asked me to come in today to make sure everything was alright.

It is! My doctor reassured me that the sharp pains were fairly normal until the 10th week of pregnancy and that it was caused by what's left of the egg shell (or something like that) producing progesterone until the placenta is developed enough to do so. They did an ultrasound to make sure my ovaries didn't have any cysts or anything. Everything looked great.

Here's the first pictures of our baby! Actually, it's just the sac that the ball of cells we're calling a baby is in! :)

Is it Friday yet?!

David's interview went really well. :) He said it was very informal and laid back. They told him he would be one of the 3 they called back next week for a follow-up interview. They even told him not to worry about taking time off for Robert & Kate's wedding....that family comes first and it wouldn't hurt his chances of being hired for the job! That was good to hear!

Other than that, things are pretty much the same. Work and school....and naps. Love having a reason to nap now! :) haha

I can't wait for Friday. I am dreading tomorrow's classes and just want the week to be over already.

David's Interview

Thanks for all the congrats and well wishes! We're so excited we can hardly stand it! :)

I wanted to update and let everybody know that they moved David's interview to Monday (instead of Friday). I knew they would as soon as I posted it! ;) We're excited about the prospect of him getting a promotion (better pay, better hours, etc).

I have to go to work at 5 and I'm exhausted! I didn't get a nap today because I had to run errands between classes and work. Speaking of classes.....I mentioned how I thought my nutrition teacher was crazy....and nobody believed me. Today we had a test. We had to use HER calculator and HER pencils! She wouldn't even let us use our own pencils!!!! She's psycho I tell ya'! ANDDDD the class is from 12:30 to 1:50. She wrote this on the board: "12:30 - 1:20 Test 1:20 - 1:30 Break 1:30-1:50 Test review" She did let us look at the test and see what we missed and let us highlight in our book or student resource manual anything we wanted, but we had to use HER highlighters! I don't know how she ever became the dept. chair.

We have our first baby doctor appointment on Sept 22nd! If anybody has any good books or sources of info that they really liked during their pregnancy, I'd love to read it. I went to Barnes & Noble today but was a little overwhelmed with the choices! I have "Your Pregnancy Week by Week" and it has lots of good info in it. I'm mostly looking for a list of good foods to eat (common sense, I know) and foods to stay away from. Mom already forbade me from eating processed meats. :)

Alright, I have to go get ready for stupid work now. So. Tired.

Hallelujah!

WE'RE PREGNANT!

Just a few weeks along and we had initially wanted to wait the standard 3 months to tell everyone but everyone knew we'd had the incemination done and are waiting for a yes or no! (Especially our family and friends)

So, it's a YES!! yay! Praise the Lord. Once again, the power of prayer is proved.

Our due date is May 20th (or so). It doesn't seem real yet and we're very excited.

Thanks to everyone who prayed (are praying) for us. Thanks to my friends who let me cry on their shoulders when things weren't going the way we had planned. Thanks for waiting for God's perfect plan with us. We love you!

Did I mention I don't like waiting?

I haven't updated in a while, mostly because I'm lazy and haven't felt like it. I have been busy with school and work so that'll be the other reason why. :)
Things are good at the White House. David is working like crazy. He likes it and it keeps him busy. He's got a job interview Friday at 3 pm for a new position at Suddenlink. Please pray about that! He says he's nervous but I know he'll do fine. Only two other guys applied for the position and David is the most qualified. He's not dissatisfied with what he's doing now, just would like to do something different if he could. It would also be a step up in the company and that would be great!
School is good. I still hate my nutrition and sociology teachers. Ok, maybe not hate.....strongly dislike?! Very strongly. Haha. A&P is going well. I like the teacher for that class. She makes learning the material fun and compliments us when we work hard. I like it when teachers do that. Especially after sitting in lab for 3 hours! I don't just strongly dislike lab, I hate it.

Lauren (a former youth grouper of ours) moved in 2 apartments down from us last weekend. It's been nice to have her around. She's a sweet girl and a hard worker!

Today's day 11 since the baby procedure. I'm tired of waiting. I don't like waiting. Everything is fine though. I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to feel physically (seeing as how I've never been pregnant before). I have just been feeling normal and don't know if I should take it as a good sign or a bad one. I've had a few symptoms....but they're also symptoms of pms so they kinda count eachother out. I've been tired and my brain seemed to have gone on vacation last week but that could be because I'm stressed or worried. I think about it too much. It's hard not to. 4 years is a long time to want something and I know God has a plan and we'll have to wait on His timing but I'm just tired. I'm not giving up, I'm just a little blue about it all.

David and I went to Cape Lookout on Labor Day. It was a good trip. We rode the ferry over (which explains the crazy hair!) and got to see the lighthouse. This made the 5th lighthouse we've seen together out of the 7 in NC! I think it's my new favorite (I say that every time). Here are some pictures from the day:

Cape Lookout Lighthouse

David standing in the doorway of the Oil Shed (where lightkeepers kept the oil for the lamps)

Me and David :)

On the way home, David spotted a kitten by the side of the road. We pulled over and rescued her. I couldn't believe she hadn't been hit or anything. I had some bread left over from our picnic and she ate it before we could get to the vet's office! She was a hungry baby...and LOUD!! She couldn't be more than a few weeks old and already has the meow thing down pat! My friend Sandy adopted her. :)

Looking forward to Friday....for lots of reasons!

Update

I thought I should update everybody about our exciting weekend:

Bob Russell came to Christ's Church to speak about Building a Dynamic Church. It was really great! Dad came and brought a big group of men from PHCC. We love our friends and "family" here in Greenville but it was good to see faces from home! :)

We had the incemination Saturday eveing. It went great and now we're just waiting to see if it worked! I'm praying for patience b/c 2 weeks sounds like a LOOOONG time to wait! :) And no, I don't feel pregnant yet. haha

Not too busy today, just working on getting the labels on the CDs that were ordered from the Bob Russell event. Brent did a great job designing them and the Clarke's and I burned them all. After labels, they're ready to be mailed! I'm planning to have dinner with some of the girls from work tonight. I'm excited about it. Nikki's been in Canada all summer and Lauren's been back home in Raleigh so I'm glad to have them "home" again. Emelie and Jake are coming tomorrow to help me figure out how to make the Guest room/Computer room/Storage room/David's closet into all that AND the baby's room. Exie offered some room in her attic to put all of our seasonal stuff since we don't have any outside storage or closet space. That should free up a lot of room in here. David says we can find somewhere else for the computer to go and that would make even more room. We have a futon in here now and I really don't want to give up the guest room part b/c I know my mom will most likely want to visit after the baby arrives. I don't have room for an air mattress anywhere so Emelie has her work cut out for her! :)

Alright, back to labels.

Kenny Pics

The concert last night was AWESOME!! Melissa & I had a great time. Robert & Kate were there with some of her friends and Jake was there w/Kasey and their friends. It was a mini-family reunion! :)

Here are the pics, like I promised:

Here's Leann Rimes from our seats w/no zoom!

Here she is again. I can't move like that in 5 inch heels!! :)

And there's Kenny! :)

This is "Don't Blink" (for mom) :)

Someone from the crowd threw an ECU flag on the stage and Kenny gave it to a stage hand to hang up. I thought that was neat. (even though NCSU's better! ;)

Alrighty, I have more but I won't bore you. :) Emily: we're going together next year! OK?!

KENNY CHESNEY!

So I have this friend, Melissa (she's basically wonderful!!) and she won tickets to the Kenny Chesney concert tonight and invited me to go with her. The tickets are in the 10TH ROW! I cannot believe it! I was happy to see him in Va Beach from the lawn and can't WAIT to see him tonight! The concert was great the 1st time and I've never seen a concert from anywhere other than the lawn. I'm just sooo excited!

I was planning a nap today but now I'm not sure I need one! ;)

I'll post pics tomorrow!

Busy Day

Today was a busy day! I left the house around 8:30 so that I could try to find a parking spot close-ish to my class but that didn't work so I had to walk 1/2 a mile again! I don't mind the walking, but I have to walk across a field (that needed to be mowed and was wet!) and then across a parking lot just waiting to be paved (I don't know what the hold up is on that...I think it should have been done BEFORE school started!). Anyway, I walked....and I made it to class on time! Then, with about 20 minutes of class time left, some random man walks up to our door and says "There's a gas leak. They want everybody out." So we all look around at each other, kinda wild-eyed, and are all packing our book bags as we're leaving the building. We didn't know if the leak was in the building or outside, so we excited the building @ the nearest exit and ended up walking TOWARD the gas leak! They moved us around to the back of the building and we stood there for a while, then they moved us behind the next building and we stood there a while. Then a man came up and said "The leak is worse than they thought, you all need to get further back." So we all trudged across the road to the next building's parking lot. By this time, they were re-routing ALL traffic from Memorial Dr & Firetower through PCC's campus and students were trying to leave and no one was moving and Engine 5 kept driving by and it was just crazy. I'm glad they finally got the leak under control and no one got blown up. It turns out that the guys working on the road accidentally cut the main line which PCC's building full of labs is connected to so they wanted us out. I think there should have been a siren, or intercom announcement or something other than some guy running door to door. They sent out a campus wide e-mail but we weren't sitting around checking our e-mails, we were in class! It was chaos....and I don't like chaos.

I was late to my next class b/c they wouldn't let us leave the parking lot. I think they thought we'd try to go back into the building. It's a computer class and I was only in there 10 minutes so I walked back across campus to find out if the leak would keep us from having BIO lab. It didn't.... :( I had lab from 12-2:50 and since I've already had BIO 163, it was all review for me. I was bored....but I should have great grades! :)

I worked from 5-9 and was bored there too. Now I'm home and going to get some dinner. My tummy's hungry!

HAHA!

I don't know why this is so funny to me......

I mean, it has the measurements and everything! :)

First days of school

School has started for me again. I only have 4 classes this semester and with the exception of my A&P lab on wed. afternoons, they're all in the mornings or early afternoons. I'm glad for that since I can get them out of the way and have the rest of the afternoon to do homework or whatever else needs done. I'm pleased with them all so far. I am excited to be back in Anatomy and can't wait to dissect something! :) and the computer class I'm taking is a basic PC class so that'll be easy. It's required so I HAVE to take it. Intro to Sociology should be alright, just a little boring. Today was the 1st day of class and the instructor somehow ended up on the population of G'ville, Pitt Co. and NC and then finished off with his idea for the energy crisis (which is a high-speed train up and down the east coast) and of course, he bashed the current administration up in Washington DC a bit. Nutrition should be interesting. This will be a fun time to take it. I need to start eating healthier and could have a long time ago but I'm lazy.

In baby news, we're just waiting for the ovulation kit to tell me when to go! We're very excited but a little apprehensive about it all. I don't want to be too excited b/c the more excited I am, the more dissapointed I'll be if things don't go the way we've planned. Still, it's hard not to look forward to it.

This is totally random, but I saw a set of blinds hanging in a tree on the way home from class today with a sign that said "Please take me!" It made me laugh and if I had had my camera, I would have taken a picture to post.

Speaking of pictures, I think I forgot to mention that while at the beach a few weeks ago, Mom, Bonnie, Tiff and I went to the pottery painting place and painted a few pieces. The store's called Glazin' Go-Nuts and is located in the MP 6 shopping centre. Tiff painted a mug for Aunt Bonnie and Mom painted a plate to sit on the mantle of thier new house! I chose a light switch cover for the "baby's room" since we won't really get to decorate too much b/c we rent. Here it is:

And after posting this twice, I'm officially asking Lindsey for blogging lessons! :)

Ok, off to work on my to-do list!

Campfires, Babies & Sandy Feet!

So I haven't really blogged a lot before. I decided to start this b/c Dave and I are going to be going through some exciting and stressful stuff here pretty soon. This is a good way for both of our families (and our friends) to stay updated with all the going-ons of our baby persuit and maybe an outlet for me. :)

I start classes again tomorrow. I'm a little excited and definately ready. I only have 4 classes and am done by 12 everyday but wed. That works well with my work schedule. The only down side about school starting again is that I'll be closing at work a lot now which means not a lot of David and Lynn time. I've been out of town for 2 weeks and haven't gotten to spend a lot of time with David. I am looking forward to spending a few hours just the 2 of us this weekend.

I went camping at Goose Point will my cousin, Tiffany last week. She has been in Haiti for the past 3 months and we spent a few days getting away from everyone. We stayed in our Grandparent's camper. Grandmom came up for dinner 2 nights. It was fun and relaxing!

Then after 2 days home, I left Dave again for the beach. We had a great time with the fam and I LOVE the beach so I was happy. :)

Most of you (whoever you are!) know that we're trying to start growing our family and we have to do IUI (intrauterine incemination) to do it. We're at the point where we're counting down the days until the procedure! I mean, we're like less than 2 weeks away! We're SOSOSOSOSO excited but also a little nervous. I'm worried that it won't "stick" the first time and we'll have to do this all over again. After trying for 4 years, we're ready to be over and done with all this! :) Now that we have a plan, we're feeling a lot better about our chances. As far as we know, I should have no problems, but it's still a little nerve wrecking for us.

At the beach, we had church at the house. Chris played his guitar and led the 9 of us in some songs. It was wonderful! So intimate and real. Then, after Dad spoke a short mini-sermon, they all prayed for me and David. Dad, Mom, Uncle Doug, Aunt Bonnie, Matt, Megan, Tiffany & Christopher all stood around me and put their hands on me and prayed that the Lord would be with us during the procedures and would bless us with a baby. It was such a sweet time of fellowship and love with my family. Very sweet.

So now it's in the Lord's very capable hands and I am not allowed to worry about it! :) But you're free to pray about it please! :)

I guess that's all for now. Time to get ready for work.
